Issue #15: Regulate or Rebelle
If it’s not nervous system approved, it’s a no.
The Rebelle Ritual – Issue #15
Everything in my life is asking for devotion.
Not the surface-level kind.
Not the kind I give to work, deadlines, or the endless loop of doing.
But a deeper devotion—
To the parts of me I’ve abandoned.
To the rituals that ground me.
To the routines that nourish me.
To my nervous system, aching for regulation.
To rest. To truth. To presence.
This season isn’t about doing nothing.
It’s about letting go of what no longer serves my highest self.
It’s about reclaiming energy from the noise,
So I can return home to my body.
Not because it’s easy—but because it’s essential.
I’m burnt out.
And the only way forward is to soften into the edge.
To slow down.
To surrender.
To listen.
This devotion will require power.
It will ask for presence.
It will demand that I get uncomfortable.
But I know—on the other side of this surrender—is my alignment.
My clarity.
My wholeness.
And so I begin again.
Before we jump into this weeks issue I’d like to invite you to join us in a 30 Day Challenge starting April 1st.

A Note from Amber 💌
This week, I’m taking it all the way back to the basics.
No overcomplicating. No overcommitting. Just deep, nourishing simplicity.
I’ve realized that if I don’t honor my nervous system, nothing else really works.
So I’m choosing to follow my own plan—the one I’ve known in my body all along.
The one that doesn’t require more hustle, more proving, more pushing through.
Here’s what that looks like for me right now:
🌙 Prioritizing deep, uninterrupted sleep.
📵 Saying no to screens at night—my nervous system is not a machine.
🌅 Starting and ending my days with routine, with ritual, with reverence.
✂️ Cutting off anything or anyone that adds unnecessary stress or pressure—like my life depends on it. Because it does.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve overridden my own needs.
How often I’ve felt the whisper for rest…
...the nudge to slow down…
...the desire to just be—and I’ve ignored it.
All because that “boss babe” part of me wanted to feel productive.
To feel worthy.
To feel like I was doing enough.
But now?
Success looks different.
Success looks like a slow morning sun on my skin.
A warm, nutrient-dense breakfast.
Movement that supports me, not depletes me.
A mind that’s calm. A body that’s safe. A heart that’s at peace.
This is what it means to nourish my feminine system.
To create safety, softness, and sustainability.
To live in devotion to my truth—not society’s definition of success.
This week, I’m not striving.
I’m regulating.
I’m protecting my peace.
And I’m coming back home to me.
» Rebelle Reality Check ✔️
Something wild is happening the more I heal…
I’m becoming less ambitious.
Not because I don’t care.
Not because I’m giving up.
But because I’m no longer trying to escape myself through achievement.
I don’t want to climb ladders that lead me away from my body.
I don’t crave the noise, the grind, the constant chase.
I crave peace.
I crave regulation.
I crave mornings that start slow and days that don’t ask me to abandon myself to feel worthy.
The deeper I tend to my nervous system,
the less I tolerate pressure disguised as productivity.
The less I perform.
The less I push.
The more I listen.
And in this space of less hustle, I’ve found more truth.
✨ Success now looks like a rested body.
✨ A nourished nervous system.
✨ Clear boundaries.
✨ Spacious mornings.
✨ Gentle movement.
✨ People who don’t drain me.
✨ Work that feels like devotion—not depletion.
This isn’t about giving up goals.
It’s about no longer sacrificing my wellness in the name of ambition.
I don’t want a life I have to recover from.
I want a life I can live inside of.
Let that be enough.

🌿 What is the Nervous System?
The nervous system is your body's command center.
It’s how you feel, respond, process, and survive.
It’s made up of two main parts:
Central Nervous System (CNS): Your brain + spinal cord.
Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): The nerves running throughout your body, including the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), which handles your automatic body functions—like heart rate, digestion, and stress responses.
The ANS breaks down further into:
Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) – “Fight, Flight, or Freeze”
Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) – “Rest, Digest, and Restore”
When you’re safe, grounded, and connected, your parasympathetic system is leading—your body can heal, digest, connect, and receive.
When you’re stressed, triggered, overworked, or in survival mode, your sympathetic system takes over—preparing you to fight, flee, or freeze.
🔥 How We Become Dysregulated
Dysregulation happens when the nervous system gets stuck in a chronic state of stress.
Your body is meant to respond to occasional stress…
But modern life bombards you with constant pressure.
Here’s how dysregulation often begins:
Childhood trauma or unmet needs
Unhealed emotional wounds
Toxic relationships or environments
Overworking, perfectionism, and hustle culture
Sleep deprivation, poor nutrition, stimulants (like caffeine + sugar)
Scrolling/social media overstimulation
Ignoring the body’s cues for rest and recovery
Feeling unsafe in your body or your life
Your body learns to adapt to this.
It normalizes anxiety.
It accepts burnout.
It silences the whispers until they scream.
🌬️ Signs of a Dysregulated Nervous System
Chronic anxiety or overwhelm
Difficulty relaxing, even when things are “fine”
Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected
Trouble sleeping or staying asleep
Mood swings, irritability, panic
Brain fog, fatigue, low energy
Overreactions or shutdown in response to small stressors
Always needing to do more to feel safe or worthy
💗 How to Regulate Your Nervous System
Regulation is about coming home to safety—within your body, your breath, your routines, your environment.
Here’s what that can look like:
🌞 Create safety in your day-to-day:
Rituals, routines, and environments that feel calming, predictable, and nourishing.
🧘♀️ Body-based healing:
Breathwork, somatic movement, cold plunges, gentle stretching, yoga, and vagus nerve activation all help your body feel safe again.
🌿 Nourishment:
Stable blood sugar, whole foods, protein, hydration, minerals. You cannot regulate a system that’s malnourished.
💤 Deep rest:
Not just sleep—but unstructured time. No pressure. No performance. No productivity attached to your worth.
🌬️ Breath & stillness:
Slow, intentional breathing shifts your body out of fight-or-flight and back into rest-and-restore.
💌 Inner child work + nervous system education:
Understanding your triggers and why they exist helps you rewire your responses. The more you know, the more compassionate you become toward yourself.
👑 Boundaries + saying no:
Dysregulation often comes from people-pleasing, overgiving, or abandoning yourself. Boundaries are nervous system medicine.
🐆 Rebelle Reminder: You Are Not Broken. You Are Dysregulated.
And the beautiful thing about the nervous system?
It can heal.
It wants to heal.
It just needs you to stop abandoning it for the sake of being “productive.”
This is your invitation to slow down, listen in, and rebuild safety from the inside out.

Devotion Over Discipline: A New Era of Commitment to Self
There’s a version of wellness that still runs on control.
Wake up at 5am.
Push through the fatigue.
Track every calorie.
Crush the workout.
Ignore the whisper.
That’s discipline—but without devotion, it becomes self-abandonment.
And I’m done abandoning myself in the name of being “good” or “on track.”
This isn’t about being lazy or uncommitted.
This is about choosing discernment over rigidity.
This is about knowing when to push—and when to pause.
Yes, discipline has its place.
But what about devotion?
The quiet kind. The gentle kind. The “I’m listening to my body” kind.
Devotion is the new power move.
Because here’s the truth:
We burn out when we override.
We get injured when we ignore.
We keep doing all the “right” things—clean eating, HIIT workouts, daily greens—
but we’re disconnected from what our body actually needs.
Our bodies are made to move, yes.
To sweat, to stretch, to lift.
But they are also made to rest, digest, absorb, and detox.
And that part often gets ignored in the name of productivity and perfection.
For the longest time, I didn’t even know my stomach wasn’t digesting properly.
I didn’t know I wasn’t absorbing nutrients.
That my detox pathways were not open.
I was doing all the “healthy” things—and still feeling like something was off.
It wasn’t until I slowed down—
Until I hired a functional nutritionist, invested in holistic practitioners, and devoted myself to small, sacred rituals—
that I started to truly heal.
☀️ Morning sunlight
😴 Deep rest
💩 Healthy elimination (yep, poop matters)
💦 Sweating + supporting lymphatic flow
🍽️ Eating to nourish—not to shrink
🧘♀️ Listening, softening, surrendering
Medical doctors couldn’t explain what I was feeling—because they’re not trained to look at gut health, bile production, or absorption.
But the body never lies.
The wisdom is there.
It always was.
But we have to slow down long enough to hear it.
To feel it.
To trust it.
So this is your permission slip to stop worshipping hustle and start honoring your own rhythm.
Devotion isn’t about checking boxes.
It’s about showing up for yourself, again and again,
with presence, with tenderness, and with truth.
Your body doesn’t want perfection.
It wants partnership.
Mantra for the Week
I choose devotion over discipline.
I honor what my body whispers, not just what the world demands.
I slow down, I soften, I listen.
My rest is sacred. My rituals are medicine.
I am safe to nourish myself deeply.
» For the Love of Money: Nervous System Edition
Saving & Spending for Nervous System Regulation
What if your money habits weren’t just financial—but somatic?
The way we save…
The way we spend…
The way we relate to money in general—
it’s all deeply tied to the state of our nervous system.
When you’re dysregulated—living in fight, flight, or freeze—you may find yourself:
Overspending to feel a moment of safety or control
Avoiding money entirely because it feels overwhelming
Hoarding money out of fear, never feeling secure no matter how much you have
Making impulse purchases for that quick dopamine hit
Feeling guilty when you do spend, because your system doesn’t feel grounded
Your money story is living in your body.
That’s why nervous system regulation is a form of financial wellness.
And vice versa: saving money, spending with intention, and cultivating financial safety can regulate your nervous system.
🌿 Saving as Regulation
Saving isn’t just about building wealth—it’s about building safety.
Every time you set money aside, you’re telling your nervous system:
“You are safe. There is enough. You don’t have to panic.”
Start small. Anchor into it as a ritual.
Create a savings flow that feels nourishing, not restrictive.
Let saving be an act of self-respect—not scarcity.
🌬️ Spending as Regulation
When your nervous system is balanced, spending becomes conscious—not chaotic.
You know when to say yes, and when to pause.
You’re no longer chasing external validation or internal relief through the swipe of a card.
Instead, spending becomes sacred.
You invest in nourishment, not numbness.
You choose what supports your entire system—your body, mind, and future self.
Ask yourself before spending:
“Does this feel regulating or dysregulating?”
“Am I spending from grounded desire or frantic impulse?”
🐆 Money & Regulation Go Hand in Hand
This isn’t just about being “good with money.”
This is about creating a life where your nervous system can finally exhale.
A life where you don’t have to check your bank account with dread
Where saving money doesn’t feel like punishment, but empowerment
Where you spend in alignment, not survival
Where you pause before the purchase, because you know your worth isn’t at risk
Money can support your nervous system.
And your nervous system can support your money goals.
But only when you let both be built from a place of safety, softness, and sovereignty.
Money Mantra
I am safe with money, and money is safe with me.
I spend with intention and save with devotion.
My nervous system leads the way—I choose peace, not pressure.
There is always more than enough when I’m aligned with my truth.

» Glow-Up Goal
This week’s glow-up isn’t about doing more.
It’s about being more present.
Your goal is simple, sacred, and revolutionary:
💫 Choose to slow down.
Not because you’re falling behind, but because your soul wants to catch up.
Pause before you rush.
Notice before you numb.
Breathe before you react.
💫 Be with yourself.
Not just when it’s quiet and easy—but in the in-between moments, the transitions, the spaces you usually speed through.
💫 Pay attention.
To the way your body feels.
To the soft whispers asking for rest, nourishment, or stillness.
To what’s true—not just what’s urgent.
💫 Let your body lead.
This week, your nervous system is your compass.
Where there is peace, follow it.
Where there is pressure, pause.
This is the real glow up:
presence, embodiment, and choosing yourself in every small moment.
Mantra of the Week:
I honor the pace of my body.
I slow down to feel.
I listen to what’s true.
My power lives in presence, not in pressure.
I honor the pace of my body.
I slow down to feel.
I listen to what’s true.
My power lives in presence, not in pressure.
» The Black List: This Week’s Non-Negotiables 🖤
This Week’s Black List:
What we’re no longer doing—for the sake of our sanity, softness, and regulation:
Skipping breakfast and calling it “discipline”
High-intensity workouts on 4 hours of sleep
Drinking 3 iced coffees and wondering why we’re anxious
Using our phone as a morning emotional support tool
Pushing through when our body is clearly waving a red flag
Saying yes when our whole system is screaming no
Thinking “rest” has to be earned
Treating burnout like a badge of honor
Ignoring poop, sweat, or sleep as real detox rituals
Believing our worth is measured in productivity
This week, we’re choosing nervous system luxury:
Peace over pressure. Nourishment over noise. Rest over rush.
Welcome to the regulated rebellion.
What are you cutting out this week?
🖤 Consider it BLACKLISTED. 🖤
» The Final Word
This spring, I’m mapping my season with one clear thread running through it all: nervous system regulation.
Because I’m no longer chasing goals that pull me out of my body.
I’m no longer obsessed with the outcome if the path to get there costs me my peace.
The way I move, the way I work, the way I live—it all begins with how my body feels.
This season is about listening deeper.
It’s about making decisions from a place of safety and softness, not urgency and pressure.
It’s about becoming the woman who is alive in her body, turned on by her life, and deeply, deliciously nourished.
Spring isn’t asking me to bloom faster.
It’s asking me to bloom from within.
So I’m creating from regulation.
I’m leading with devotion.
And I’m mapping my life from the nervous system out.
That’s the kind of power that lasts.
xoxo Amber
