»Third Week of June«
Well, here we are in the third week of June already.
Summer officially arrives Friday, June 20th with the Summer Solstice.
It’s also the third week of my cycle. I’m deep in my luteal phase, which means: emotional rollercoaster, random cravings, fatigue, and not knowing if I’m a sad bitch or actually losing my mind.
Honestly, I’ve been overriding my body for so long—like, my whole life—that missing the quiet moments of my cycle has just become normal.
But I’m f*cking tired.
So tired that even tending to myself feels like work.
As women in our 40s, we have to start coming to terms with slowing down.
We don’t talk enough about how these are the last years we’ll even have the honor of cycling—of bleeding, releasing, and resetting—so why aren’t we being taught how to deeply nourish ourselves through it?
The luteal phase is the post-ovulation part of your cycle, when your body is holding space for the possibility of pregnancy. When that doesn’t happen, the egg begins its descent out of your body.
It’s an energetic release—a shedding of what could’ve been.
This week is about slowing way down.
More yoga. More reflection. More salt baths and body oil. More protein, fiber, and warm food that supports blood sugar and hormones.
I need real rest. And that’s hard for me.
I override my own energetic limits and then crash—hard—and blame everyone around me for being a dick.
Like dude… how dare you text me a request when I’m clearly in my sad uterus era and just need some damn peace.
As if men or my clients even remotely understand what I’m going through.
So yeah… this week is about resetting boundaries as a form of self-respect, not rebellion.
Even though I’d love to say “f*ck you” to everyone who dares ask me for something—I won’t.
Instead, I’ll just say: I’m only available during business hours.
Evenings and weekends are mine.
Not because I’m lazy.
But because I’m a woman who honors herself.
Why weren’t we taught this?
Why is it always “do more, give more, be more”… until we crash and burn and wonder why no one’s meeting our needs?
Maybe because we haven’t been meeting them ourselves.
Will some people be upset?
Probably.
Ask me how many fucks I give.
My health and vitality come before your spreadsheet.
And this isn’t just about boundaries with clients.
It’s about holding myself accountable for what I allow.
Everything starts with that.
So this week will look like:
✨ Romantizing my mornings
✨ Slower movement + my 3 programmed workouts
✨ Daily walks
✨ Cozy food: BBQ chicken quesadillas, burgers, morning eggs
✨ Warm drinks, tea, and books
✨ Early bedtimes
What I’m limiting:
❌ Sugar
❌ Screen time (even TV at night)
❌ Rushing
❌ Putting others before myself
And no, this isn’t about cutting people off—it’s about honoring both my life and my needs.
Yes, I can love you.
AND I need space, rest, and comfort.
I’ll meet you where it’s good for me.
We abandon ourselves way too fast.
We’ll hyperfocus on everything except what’s necessary: our bodies, our rest, our wellness.
So this is your reminder:
Strip it all off this week—
The pressure.
The performance.
The perfection.
The pleasing.
The proving.
Come back to what matters.
