.AUGUST ENERGY:
✨ Get your shit together
✨ But make it slow, sexy, and intentional
We’re not rushing. We’re not spiraling.
We’re getting one damn thing done before noon and giving ourselves a gold star for it.
(Yes, even if it’s just washing the damn curtains you’ve avoided for a YEAR.)
Because the truth is:
💣 Burnout makes everything feel heavier than it is
💣 Avoidance breeds anxiety
💣 But action—even teeny tiny—clears the gunk
So no, we’re not trying to fix our whole lives in one Sunday reset.
But we are clearing the pile of bills.
We are choosing peace over procrastination.
We are stepping into September with less chaos and more clarity.
» First week of August «
August has this strange energy—like we’re holding on to summer with one hand and trying to micromanage our future with the other.
It’s the month where the shoulds start screaming again:
You should organize.
You should be having fun.
You should have done this months ago.
But I’m not here for shoulds this month.
I’m here for settling.
Settling into my own center.
Not rushing. Not reacting.
Honoring what my body and mind actually need:
☁️ early nights
📚 quiet mornings
🧘♀️ less noise
💬 deeper conversations in the groups I’m part of
🔌 and a whole lot of unplugging.
If I’m honest—I’ve been in total shutdown mode. The kind where the pile of bills on the desk feels personally offensive and the idea of washing the curtains feels like climbing Everest.
(But I did it. After a YEAR of procrastination, those damn curtains were done in under an hour. 10 minutes of effort. And a full-body sigh of relief.)
Here’s what I’m learning:
I don’t need to do it all.
And trying to do it all is what’s been draining the hell out of me.
So this week—let’s make it stupidly simple.
Let’s aim for ONE thing each day.
Not a reinvention. Not a full-blown productivity glow-up.
Just one tiny task that clears a little energy.
Try one of these:
🧺 Wash the sheets or curtains
📚 Drop off a donation of books
📂 Sort the damn bills (scan, file, or shred—no in-between)
🧴 Clean out a junk drawer or bathroom shelf
🧘♀️ Meditate or stretch instead of doom scroll
🛑 Say no to something you don’t want to do
Here’s your mantra:
“One thing done is one less thing draining me.”
We don’t need more hustle—we need less chaos.
And a whole lot more space to feel proud of ourselves for doing enough.
xo,
Amber
P.S. Reply and tell me what your one thing is today. I’ll be over here tossing expired sunscreen and pretending that’s spiritual.
» Weekly Intentions «
(aka how we’re staying sane, nourished, and semi-organized)
🕘 One small task before 9am
— Before the world starts pulling at you, do something for you. Make your bed. Open the mail. Toss the expired condiments. It counts.
📝 Morning Pages
— Clear the mind clutter. Stream of consciousness, no editing, just get it out. You’ll be shocked what you find under the noise.
🌙 Early to bed & early to rise
— Reset your rhythm. Sleep is sexy. And your nervous system? She needs it.
🥗 Nutrition on lock
— No chaos meals. No skipping and binging. Real food, real fuel, real care. Hydrate, eat protein, repeat.
