Issue #9: Regulated & Untouchable: The Softest Flex
When you master your nervous system, you master your life. Stay calm, stay soft, stay in your power.
The Rebelle Ritual – Issue 9
Opening Connection: The Power of Nervous System Regulation
Take a breath. A deep one. In through the nose… hold… and exhale slowly.
Now look around. Not at your phone, not at the endless stream of headlines, not at the latest outrage designed to hijack your nervous system. Look at your life.
In this moment, is chaos actually unfolding around you? Or is there just… life? The warmth of a morning coffee, the hum of your home, the simple rhythm of your breath.
We live in a world designed to keep us reactive—pinging notifications, inflammatory news cycles, a constant feed of blame, division, and fear. But here’s the truth: your attention is currency, and every time you react, you feed the system that thrives on your stress.
What happens when you opt out? When you regulate your nervous system and choose presence over panic? You realize that the real world isn’t Facebook wars or doom scrolling spirals. It’s your favorite local café, the quiet joy of a slow morning, the neighbor you exchange smiles with (even if you don’t always see eye to eye). It’s the crisp air of an evening walk, the farmers market full of real people doing real things, the deep conversations, the belly laughs, the living.
This issue is about reclaiming your sovereignty. Understanding your body’s responses, recognizing when your system is being hijacked, and learning to anchor yourself in the real. Because when you regulate your nervous system, you don’t just find peace—you find freedom.
Let’s dive in. ✨

💌 A Note from Amber 💌
Pour your attention into yourself. Not the noise. Not the outrage. Not the endless distractions pulling you away from your own center. You.
When you are calm and grounded, everyone around you benefits. Your presence becomes a gift, not a reaction. Your energy feels like home, not chaos. You pour from fullness, not depletion. But that only happens when you take care of you first.
Are you resting? Eating well? Moving your body? Taking intentional moments just for you?
If you are anxious and overwhelmed, you can’t help anyone—you can’t even fully be with them. That’s when relationships start to feel like a push-and-pull, like others have to act a certain way for you to feel okay. But the truth is: you are the whole vine. You are the source. It all starts and ends with you.
Taking care of your nervous system means feeling everything and making choices that center yourself when you feel triggered—not projecting it onto others, not making it about the government, or the news, or the world at large. Because let’s be real—your life probably looks nothing like the chaos they sell you. So why keep feeding that narrative?
Come back into your life. Create what you want.
Tend to yourself with devotion—the inner queen who is soft but takes no one’s shit. The devil who can dance in darkness but sees the light. The woman who owns every part of her life, standing fully in the love she receives each and every day.
This is your power. It’s time to claim it.
Poll: How Do You Regulate Your Nervous System?
When life feels overwhelming, what’s your go-to way to bring yourself back to center?
🔘 Deep breathing & meditation – Slowing down, inhaling peace, exhaling stress.
🔘 Moving my body – A walk, a stretch, a dance break—anything to shift the energy.
🔘 Nature & fresh air – Grounding with the earth, feeling the sun, or just stepping outside.
🔘 Unplugging & resting – No screens, no noise, just pure stillness.
🔘 I don’t regulate, I just push through – (But maybe it’s time to change that? 👀)

» Feature Ritual Dissent Column: No One is Coming to Save You
Here’s the truth no one really wants to hear: it’s not anyone’s job to take care of you the way you need.
Yes, people can show up. They can love you, support you, and meet you where they are able. But at the end of the day, everyone is navigating their own life, their own needs, their own nervous system. If you’re waiting for someone to swoop in and make you feel safe, validated, or whole—you’ll be waiting forever. It all starts with you.
You must be able to regulate yourself. You must be able to sit with discomfort, to feel all the sensations—even the ones you want to label as wrong or bad. But here’s the thing: no feeling is wrong or bad. It’s just a feeling. A message from your body.
Understanding your nervous system and learning how to regulate it can heal so much in your life—your gut, your skin, your relationships, your sleep. It makes you more flexible in life, more trusting in yourself, because you realize that your nervous system is actually working for you. What you’re feeling is temporary. It’s often old trauma trapped in the body, subconscious patterns repeating themselves.
And I get it—because I feel it too.
My anxiety often tells me that everything is my fault. That if someone is reaching out, it must be because something is wrong. That somehow, I’m not enough—that I need to prove myself, that I need to fix something, that I need to earn my place. And I know where this comes from—past stories, old wounds, echoes of a time when I did have to navigate things alone, when I did feel like I had to be perfect to be safe.
But those stories are not facts.
They are just old programming running in the background. And the more I practice regulating my nervous system, the more I remember:
I am not always wrong. Mistakes don’t make me unworthy, they make me human.
When people contact me, it’s not always about a problem. Communication isn’t a crisis.
All problems have solutions. Nothing is as catastrophic as my nervous system sometimes makes it seem.
I am already enough. Not because of what I do or how I perform—just because I exist.
Healing your nervous system doesn’t mean you’ll never feel anxious again. It means you’ll move through it with more ease, more awareness, more trust. You’ll recognize the feeling, but you won’t let it define you. You’ll learn to hold yourself through it, not abandon yourself because of it.
And that? That is true safety.
No one is coming to save you. But you can save yourself. And that’s the most powerful thing of all.
Mantra for the Week
I am safe in my body. I am enough as I am. Not everything is mine to carry. I trust myself to navigate whatever comes my way.
» For the Love of Money: The Ultimate Savings Rundown
If you want to regulate your nervous system, get out of feast-or-famine mode, and finally feel financially secure, the answer is saving. Not just for emergencies, but to create a foundation that allows you to make choices from a place of alignment—not survival.
Saving money isn’t about restriction. It’s about freedom—the freedom to take opportunities, to breathe when life happens, and to build wealth over time. Here’s how to start:
1️⃣ High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA) – Your Financial Safety Net
👉 Wealthfront HYSA – 4% Interest
This is where you build your reserve fund for unexpected expenses—because life will happen. Experts recommend saving 3-6 months’ worth of living expenses to give yourself flexibility and peace of mind.
🔹 Why it matters: Having this cushion means you can make aligned choices, not fear-based decisions.
🔹 Small weekly amounts add up: $77/week = $1,000 per quarter = $4,000 per year.
🔹 Where can you find $77 to save? Maybe it’s cutting one takeout meal, a subscription, or an impulse buy.
2️⃣ Traditional IRA – Save for the Future & Lower Your Taxes
👉 Max Contribution for 2025: $7,000 annually
A Traditional IRA is a retirement savings account that gives you an immediate tax benefit: your contributions reduce your taxable income.
🔹 Why it matters: If you have taxable income, this can lower your tax bill while setting you up for financial security.
🔹 How much? You can contribute up to $7,000 per year ($135/week), but even starting with $20 per week builds the habit.
🔹 Heads up: You’ll pay a 10% penalty if you withdraw before age 59.5, so don’t put money here if you’ll need it soon.
3️⃣ Roth IRA – Tax-Free Growth & Future Withdrawals
👉 Max Contribution for 2025: $7,000 annually
A Roth IRA is another retirement account, but with a key difference: you pay taxes now, but your money grows and can be withdrawn tax-free later.
🔹 Why it matters: If you expect to be in a higher tax bracket in the future, this is a powerful wealth-building tool.
🔹 Same limit as Traditional IRA: You can contribute up to $7,000 per year total (Traditional + Roth combined).
🔹 Not sure which to choose? If you have both, decide which benefits you more based on your current and future tax situation.
4️⃣ Brokerage Account – Flexible Investing Without Tax Advantages
👉 Wealthfront Brokerage Account – Start Investing
A brokerage account lets you invest money without restrictions. Unlike IRAs, there’s no tax benefit, but you can withdraw at any time without penalties.
🔹 Why it matters: If you want to invest but need flexibility, this is a great option.
🔹 How to start: Wealthfront makes it simple to invest in index portfolios, so you don’t need to pick stocks or actively manage your investments.
🔹 Long-term growth: The earlier you start, the more time your money has to compound.
The Strategy That Works for You
Saving and investing don’t have to be overwhelming. Start where you are. Small, consistent contributions build over time, and stacking your money creates long-term security.
💡 Your Action Plan:
✔ Open a HYSA for your reserve fund – even $25/week adds up.
✔ Choose a Traditional or Roth IRA (or both) based on your tax strategy.
✔ If you want more flexibility, start investing through a brokerage account.
✔ Make sure your money is invested—not just sitting in cash.
Money isn’t just about survival—it’s about expansion. When you build a financial foundation, you create the space to make empowered decisions, take risks, and grow beyond just living month to month.

✨ How to do it:
Take three deep breaths before responding.
Do a quick body scan—Where do you feel tension? Can you soften it?
Remind yourself: Not everything is urgent. Not everything is mine to fix.
Respond from calm, not chaos.
This small shift changes everything—your interactions, your energy, and how you move through life. 🖤✨
❤️ Mantra of the Week:
I respond from a place of calm, not chaos. I regulate first, then act. My energy is mine to protect.

» The Black List: What We’re No Longer Entertaining 🔥
This Week’s Black List:
🚫 Panic-Response Living – If it’s not an actual emergency, we’re not treating it like one. Take a breath, regulate, and then decide.
🚫 Letting Other People’s Chaos Become Your Problem – Their stress is not your assignment. Protect your peace like it’s designer and they got dirty hands.
🚫 Waiting for Someone Else to Fix It – No one is coming to save you. And honestly? That’s a flex. You are the security. You are the solution. You are the damn plan.
🚫 Not Letting in the Love That’s Already All Around You – You keep looking for proof that you’re alone, that you’re behind, that you’re missing something—when in reality, love is everywhere. Open up to receive it.
🚫 Holding Onto Stories That Keep You Stuck – You’re not failing. You’re living. Every time you tell yourself the same tired story about why things aren’t working, you reinforce a reality that’s not even true. Let. It. Go.
🚫 Acting Like You Don’t Deserve Softness – You do. You deserve rest. You deserve ease. You deserve a life that doesn’t feel like constant survival mode. Say it louder for your nervous system.
🔥 Consider it BLACKLISTED. 🔥
» The Final Word: The Softest Flex is Being Unshakable
Regulated. Unbothered. Fully in your power. That’s the energy now. When you stop reacting to every little thing, when you stop letting the world pull you in a million directions, you become untouchable.
No more outsourcing your peace. No more waiting for someone else to hold you down. You are the security. You are the sanctuary. And when you show up from that place? Every damn thing in your life shifts.
Let them wonder why you’re so calm. Let them feel your presence before you even say a word. That’s the power of a woman who knows she is the whole vine. 🌿✨
